Instance map: Eloh Vale
The second
valley, where the main battle occurs, is the location of
Unity Plaza. I envisioned Unity Plaza, as a place in
the distant past, where Forean and Eloh came together and
celebrated each other's accomplishments in architecture.
The broad steps and central pool I felt were important to
the formal nature. At the northern edge of plaza is
the beginning of the Eloh Bridge. I worked with the
concept artist and modeler to ensure that the end of the
bridge dovetailed into the landscape. Often times
before, I've seen assets like this just placed down without
thought to how it works into the surroundings. By
luck, I was able to use submerged circular pools to form
sculptural rings at the end and reinforce the symbol of the
place.
